Togainu No Chi Vista Patch 2017

  1. BLVN + Otome General FAQ 1.3
  2. This thread is for the discussion of BL (Boy's Love, aka. yaoi) and otome games. We're including bara under the BL umbrella too. Basically, VNs that aren't targeted at straight dudes are fair game here. If the game was originally developed in English, please direct discussion to the OELVN thread.
  3. Annotated playthroughs and in-thread translations are welcome and encouraged.
  4. Don't be a douche and use spoiler tags.
  5. ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

  7. For a detailed rundown of all projects, BL or otherwise, check out
  8. But, since there are so few BL games being translated, might as well do a summary here:
  9. Recent Patch Releases:
  10. Hadaka Shitsuji - Released (4/1/2013)
  11. Drammatical Murder Re:connect - Preliminary TL started, currently @ hacking
  12. Hunk's Workshop - rough translation ~75% (in need of hackers)
  13. Sweet Pool - still in progress, moving slowly
  14. ---- ---- ---- ---- ----
  15. ---- ---- ---- ---- ----
  16. A. Basically, the same thing as a VN only gayer.
  17. Q. What's an otome game?
  18. A. Generally speaking, a VN with a female protagonist targeted at women.
  19. Resource Links
  20. We're trying to maintain a list of BL game downloads here: http://pastebin.com/Vz6NsMpe
  21. So you don't have to wade through the shithole that is Aarinfantasy to get to most of the good stuff. The list is far from complete at this point, so feel free to contribute content in the thread.
  22. http://vndb.org/ - Has a lot of general info about VNs. As you might expect
  23. BL games are pretty neglected and the information may not always be accurate or even remotely useful.
  24. http://www.jastusa.com/shop/yaoi.html - JAST's BL section (although one of those is an otome game). I'd say support the industry and buy this shit, but most people agree the two games available are terrible.
  25. http://pastebin.com/1vyH0PbZ - The VN General FAQ has some potentially helpful resources, but YMMV since BL games are pretty neglected in general.

  28. Note: Some Visual Novels may come prepatched and won't require further installation, otherwise, follow these steps:
  29. 1) First of all, make sure you have both the game data and most up to date translation patch from the translator's blog.
  30. 2) Acquire and install optical drive emulation software, such as Daemontools Lite or MagicISO. http://www.magiciso.com/ http://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/products/dtLite What this software does is create a virtual CD/DVD drive with which to 'mount' and run disc images (1:1 copies of the original game disc converted into a large data file). Typically these files have extensions such as .iso, .ccd, .img, .mdf, and so on.
  31. 3) Set your system to properly display in Japanese for non-unicode programs. What this does is ensure the game works properly in the environment it was coded for, otherwise you may run into any particular Visual Novel not working properly, such as installation failures, the game engine failing to run, garbled text, and so on. See the question below for specific steps.
  32. 4) After mounting, seek out any readmes included with the game and/or patch for installation instructions. Most often the patch will require you to run an application after installing the game or to copy the patch files into the installationd directory. If the translation group allows it, there may be an option to use the translation patch itself to install the game for you (provided you have all the necessary disc images containing the game data mounted of course).
  33. Q. How do I change my system to Japanese locale?
  34. A. On Windows 7, this option can be found in the Administrative tab of the Region and Language sub menu on Control Panel. The option you want to be changing is 'Language for non-Unicode programs'.
  35. JP Keyboard options (used for typing in Japanese but not necessary for playing Japanese games) can be disabled under the tab 'Keyboard and Languages.'
  36. In XP, this can be found in the Advanced tab of the Regional and Language options sub menu in Control Panel.
  37. Q. This installer isn't in English, what do I do?
  38. A. Most Visual Novels translated via 3rd party patches will require you to install the raw Japanese version of the game before applying a patch. The layouts are often similar to their English counterparts so you should be able to guide yourself through it using context and familiarity. Often the prompts will have an English abbreviation in parenthesis, ie (B): Back, (N): Next, and so on. If you get an error message, it may help to copy it (ctrl+c) and paste it into an online machine translation service.
  39. Q. Why isn't my game working?
  40. A. First of all, make sure you've followed ALL of the install instructions included with your game and/or translation patch.
  41. ▪Check to make sure your system is set to use Japanese Locale for non-unicode programs.
  42. ▪Older games may require running in administrative or compatibility modes, or further patching not included with the original translation patch.
  43. ▪There may be issues with User Rights Management in Windows 7 involving games installed in the default program files folder. Try installing the game outside of Program Files x86.
  44. ▪If a game has issues with video playback it may be because of the default settings of video codecs such as fddshow or LAV splitter. Try installing or re-installing CCCP and disable options relating to MPEG playback.
  45. ▪You may need to install/reinstall/update video card drivers and/or Direct X.
  46. Q. Where is my save data Located?
  47. A. Save data location will vary with each Visual Novel, here's a list of possible locations:
  48. ex: C:Program Files x86[title]
  49. NOTE: For Windows Vista/7 users, any game installed into program files x86 that stores saves in the installation folder will be moved to the Virtual Store folder by Windows.
  50. ex: C:Users[username]AppDataLocalVirtualStore[title]
  51. ex: C:Users[username]Documents[developer][title]save
  52. ex: C:Users[username]AppDataLocal[developer][title]save

Togainu No Chi Manga

Togainu No Chi Episode 1 English Dub

I have downloaded it with an English patch. It is a really nice yaoi game in my humble oppinion. We have the main character after the name Akira. There is also a relevant anime named Togainy No Chi, but it is not yaoi-like. Here we can see our lovely ships as fangirls.
Akira is a young man who is into street fights, in Bl@asters team. One day he is fraud with a murder case and he gets into prison. There he will be given the chance from a beautiful yet mysterious woman. The deal is to go to the remains of Tokyo in Toshima (after some kind of war) and be an Igura participant in order to defeat Il Re. The strongest fighter and is said by her the king of the drug Line. If he does as he's said then he will be free.
After the main story we have now the main protagonists.
1) Keisuke. Keisuke, is Akira's childhood friend who they both grew into the same orphan center. Keisuke follows recklessly Akira on his own accord into the Igura tournament. He is weak and he knows it. That only makes Akira constantly. But through out the game series Akira believes that Keisuke is equal with him.
2)Shiki. He is a mysterious guy who appears every now and then in the game. A swordman who appears in the middle of the night and always leaves bodies behind and not any other traces. He is a really arrogant person and even a saddist in some way. When it comes to the hentai/ecchi scenes Shiki and Keisuke are my favourites. *SPOILER ALERT* It turns out that Shiki is in fact the Il Re and not in the least interested in the whole drug King thing. You can unlock him after having a good ending with Keisuke or Rin. Shiki is practically 'torturing' and sexualy harassing Akira. But whatever the end is, Shiki never stops showing his affection to Akira, the only man (except than Rin in Rin's good ending) who survived in front of his blade.
3)Rin: Rin is the blonde haired short guy of the characters. He is a really friendly person and the first one to greet in some way Akira and Keisuke in Toshima. He even provides them with food supplies, giving off his own medals. Even though he is short and thin, Rin is in fact a really skilled double knfe warrior. Despite his looks he can easily take down four guys twic his size. Despite his good-hearted and freindly nature like every character in the game he has his own secrets, which make Akira doubt him sometimes. In my oppinion I didn't really like the hentai/ecchi scenes since I got spoiled with seeing Akira being the Uke all the time. But the good ending with Rin is a true eye-candy and helps me with my own imagination to fantasize other things.
4) Motomi: Motomi is a man around his early 40s or 35-40. He is not really shaved and he gives off a friendly and detective-like aura. In fact he is the Information Broker in Toshima. Rin and Motomi seem to get along really well when it comes to bussiness and Motomi never does something half-assed. For me, Motomi is my ABSOLUTE fave character. He seems to have a fatherly-like affection towards Akira since he lost his son but things changes as we play the game. Even though he is cool-headed most of the times, Akira makes him go off his way. Motomi as well as every character also holds a dark secret which also has to do with both Akira's and Keisuke's past. He himself doesn't know it until the very end of the Motomi ending though.
5)Gunji and Kiriwar: They are the Cleaners of the Igura tournamanent and the ones who catch whoever is breaking any rules of it. They are like hunting dogs. Their whole life is wrapped in the joy of violence and blood. As you might have seen from other pages on the Internet, Kiriwar and Gunji provide is only with fap meterial. I truly liked their part though, since I am a hardcore fujoshi fan. They also seem to want to 'play around' with Shiki every now and then when he appears in the scene.
6) Arbito: He is the true owener of the 'Drug King'. He is having this really 'ga' atmosphere around him as well as the saddist one (which I truly love XD). He is highty and mighty and his heart is worse than Lockheart's from Harry Potter when it comes to fear (yeah he even peed his pants in one of the endings). Personally I highly dislike him but I love his low saddistic voice when he talks. Other than this I was still dissapointed. Considering that he owns sex slaves and he is extremely sadist I expected a more juicy ending with him with plenty of fap material. In Arbito's ending not only you don't see anything really kinky but also we see the explosive, determined tsundere Akira becoming a pet. I suggest you guys to first end Rin's ending and leave Arbito only if you are extremely bored or really wanna finish this game.
7) Nicolas Premier: He shows last and he leaves a really good aftertaste in the game. Nicolas is the starnge guy who appears like Shiki. Out of nowhere. In the game he is described to be really beautiful with pale face and with a change in the colour of his eyes, from blue to purple. He is really calm and he seems really harmless. But do not trust what you see in first sight. Every fangirl who doesn't want any spoilers please stop here. Nicolas plays a major role in the series of the game. He is the dot connecting everyone even though from the first endings many things are revelead and if you are smart enough you will know what is going on with Akira. In every ending except than the good Akira x Keisuke ending, Keisuke dies and in Premier's ending I really didn't want him to die. You can unlcok Premier after finishing all the endings of the game. When there is a choice to go and see him up close choose to go at him and then you can check the rest of the walkthroughs for any questions. Nicolas is highly taking care of Akira in his own way and thanks to Akira he changes at the end and he becomes a major-turn-on character in the series. Also the sex scene of them was awesome. I am a real fun of rape graphic scenes in these series, so Premier's scene left me really sattisfied (not as much as Keisuke's though XD). The story with Premier goes in loe rythms and it has many philosophical parts in his discussions which other will love and other will really hate. I personaly loved them though since that shows that the game doesn't lack any culture even if it is a yaoi game.
*EXTRA INFO*
-This was a brief summury of every character. Some of them like Arbito or Priemer and mostly Shiki have lots of spoilers. But not huge ones which will let you know the whole story. I saw that many had problem with the English Patch adding. If anyone wants to know more about that part he/she can post here and let me know. I found the best and more accurate video on Youtube but I have to alert you from now that you must not keep the script.pak of the game in the game folder or else you will have the Japanese version of the Shiki routes. Just place the pak from the TNC English Patch Folder. In case there are any errors make a copy of the original script.pak in case your pc has to run both of the paks in order of the game to work. In my case I had to find on my own that you have to delete the original pak. I have windows Vista. Also notice that before you do anything you have to download Daemon Tools Lite, Winrar and after that you have to go and add in your computer the Japanese language. Then you do anything else that you see on the video. I have also noticed that some walkthroughs lack information and do not help in finding the endings. In case that you have any problem with that one, once again feel free to post any questions. I would be more than glad to help you.
Ja~aa!!! Fujoshi and Fundashi!!! Have fun with this game!!! XD
